The Mi-710 hypervisor node is the most powerful single socket system that still meets all serviceability points. The entire Mi series is built around the principle of longevity and serviceability even in the event of supply chain disruption. To achieve this we have built the Mi-710 using parts with a standard non-proprietary form factor. In a situation requiring urgent repair, the Mi-710 is designed to accept replacement parts from multiple vendors. While Tarvos does have preferred disks in inventory, storage disks are all standard SATA or NVME allowing replacement drives to be sourced from nearly any computer retailer. The same philosophy extends to items such as the power supply unit, which is a standard ATX unit, and can be replaced with any power supply capable of a minimum of 750 watts.

The Mi-710 allows for a massive degree of configuration and upgradability. Running an Intel Xeon v3 or v4 series CPU, a maximum of 22 cores with 44 threads and up to 1.5TB (1536GB) of system memory can be had in one single-socket hypervisor node. The Mi-710 is also ideal for vaious expansion configurations, we have tested passthrough of multiple PCI-e expansion cards, including Nvidia Ai compute accelerators, AMD enterprise vGPU cards, Intel Phi coprocessors, and Xilinx FPGA accelerators. Support for these devices enables us to build and host exotic and bespoke virtual assets, such as the open-source GPT-neoX Ai model, cryptocurrency mining solutions, advanced machine vision camera monitoring and more.
